Monasterboice Inn is a rare treasure: a truly historic pub where the Donegan family has welcomed guests for over 200 years, not families can say that. History oozes from every beam and fireplace, yet the kitchen cooks with bright, modern confidence. Menus celebrate prime Irish produce, succulent roast meats, crisp fish, seasonal vegetables and desserts that feel like a warm embrace. Portions are generous, flavours clean, letting ingredients speak for themselves. Service is wonderfully old-school in the best way: gracious, efficient and genuinely proud of the house.
