Spoon and the Stars
Review
The Spoon and the Stars really is one of those delightful little finds that makes travelling on a budget feel anything but ordinary. Perfectly positioned in Drogheda, with Dublin and Dublin Airport within easy reach, it offers excellent value without sacrificing character or comfort. Hosts Rory and Hannah have created a wonderfully relaxed, home-from-home atmosphere, welcoming everyone from solo travellers and couples to those simply preferring the privacy of their own room. Set within an attractive Georgian building, the hostel has a huge personality. I particularly like the excellent communal kitchen and dining area, giving guests the freedom to prepare their own meals, while the outdoor seating space is perfect for unwinding. In Dublin, accommodation with this much character would undoubtedly command considerably higher prices.
