The Cottages (Ireland)
Review
Cottages Ireland is one of the country’s most unique places to stay, lovingly created by your hosts Liz and Roger Pickett. This enchanting thatched hamlet of six, 300-year-old cottages has been restored to an exceptionally high standard, blending heritage character with modern and cosy comfort. I was genuinely taken aback by how close you are to the sea here, with sweeping views all the way up to Northern Ireland’s Mourne Mountains. Inside, old beams, solid oak floors and beautiful feature fireplaces create a warm, nostalgic atmosphere; staying here feels like visiting an old friend, a genuine home-from-home experience awaits. It’s also wonderfully positioned, close enough to Dublin and surrounding areas for day trips, yet far from the city madness to feel like a true coastal escape. For a relaxing retreat wrapped in pure history, scenery and heartfelt hospitality, Cottages Ireland is a place you’re going to absolutely love staying in.
