Inishowen House
Review
From the moment I arrived at Inishowen House, close to Ballyliffin, I could see why it is such a brilliant choice for families and groups. The entire house is yours, rather than being rented room by room, giving everyone space, privacy and freedom to settle in. With five luxurious bedrooms and room for up to 14 guests, it is ideal for celebrations, reunions or a relaxing break with friends. I loved the fabulous, fully equipped kitchen, especially the state-of-the-art indoor barbecue, which means the weather never has to spoil your plans. The games room is another real highlight, with a full-sized pool table and plenty to keep everyone entertained. There is generous parking, an EV charger, comfortable communal areas and all the practical touches needed for a carefree stay. Best of all, they can even arrange a private chef, making it possible to enjoy restaurant-quality dining without leaving the house.

Doagh Famine Village
Doagh Famine Village, near Ballyliffin in Inishowen, is without doubt one of Donegal’s most memorable attractions. When I first visited in 2025, I was completely taken aback by just how powerful and engaging the experience was. Returning again in 2026, I found it even better.

Wild Alpaca Way
Wild Alpaca Way is one of those rare experiences that stays with you long after you’ve left the hillside. Set high above the Inishowen Peninsula, with the Knockamany Bens rolling behind you and Malin Head and the vast Atlantic ahead, every step feels like walking through a living postcard.
Wild Atlantic Adventure Centre
The Wild Atlantic Adventure Centre is one of the newest and most exciting additions to Co. Donegal’s activity scene and that’s exactly why I chose to include it in my latest book. This family-run venture, led by the Devlin family, is all about teamwork, energy and adventure.

The Keg Bar in Clonmany is a wonderful example of how a much-loved village pub can be brought back to life.
