We have some of Scotland’s biggest attractions in my book and we also feature some of Scotland’s biggest hidden gems, in my opinion, Five Sisters Zoo is both of those rolled into one. I’m not too sure whether or not Brian & Shirley Curran, the owners of the zoo, actually knew how popular their zoo was going to be when they transformed from a busy garden centre with a small number of animals, to one of Scotland’s best zoos, but believe me, this place took me totally by surprise. Just a little over 165 different species of animals reside at this attraction and all are cared for wonderfully. Five Sisters Zoo isn’t like any of the big guys, the animals come before profits and I really liked this about the place. The entrance fee is reasonable and the staff are super friendly, you’ll have a great time here, be prepared to stay all day though!
