At Dick Mack’s Yard, the Dingle Brewery turns an old cowshed, once a twice-daily stop for cattle from the nearby fields, into a living piece of brewing theatre. From 1899 this space stored Guinness barrels; today it crafts a very different liquid with gleaming confidence. Three friends, Aussie, Seamus, and Dick Mack’s grandson, Finn MacDonnell, have built a tour that’s equal parts humour, intrigue, and hard-won know-how. You watch the process up close, hear the stories that have Irish brewers talking, and feel the pride in every tank and line. Booking on their website is simple, and frankly essential if you’re anywhere near Kerry. It’s worth every penny. The finale brings you next door to the pub, a handsome building where the pours are fresh, the welcome easy, and the medals explained: not one but two gold awards in their first year, proof that this reborn yard still makes history
