The Boatyard Restaurant
Review
Some places linger long after dessert; The Boatyard is one of them. In Dingle’s working harbour, owner Gavin O’Grady leads a bright, unflappable team who treat hospitality like a craft. Plates celebrate the tide: gleaming oysters, crackling-skinned hake, chowder fragrant with dill, fish landed yards away and cooked at its peak. There’s honest confidence here, ingredients are allowed to sing. Nautical touches meet clean, contemporary lines; wide windows frame boats sliding past, while the outdoor terrace serves unhurried, salt-aired theatre. Service is warm, attentive, never fussy; value is strong for the quality delivered. After thousands of meals across my Top 100 Attractions journey, this remains truly unforgettable, pier to platter, heart to memory. Booking is essential here, arrive hungry, and savour every tide-kissed mouthful today.
