Caitins Pub & Accommodation
Review
Caitins Pub and Accommodation here in Kells, is one of those special coastal places that captures the heart of Kerry hospitality. Now guided by Jack Golden, the fifth generation of his family to run this charming pub, it has a genuine character that cannot be manufactured. Step inside and the glowing peat fire, friendly faces and easy conversation immediately tell you that you are somewhere truly authentic. The accommodation is comfortable, welcoming and excellent value, with cosy rooms that suit travellers who appreciate honesty over fuss. For those wanting something extra, the newly refurbished deluxe rooms have been finished beautifully and add a more polished touch to your stay. Best of all are the views, stretching out across Dingle Bay, making a stay here truly memorable.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT
Food at Caitins Pub and Accommodation is exactly what good Irish pub dining should be: hearty, fresh and full of flavour. Under the care of Jack Golden, the fifth generation of his family to run this much-loved coastal pub, I could tell that there is a real sense of pride in what is served here. The menu has broad appeal, offering satisfying dishes that suit locals, visitors and hungry travellers after a day exploring Kerry. What matters most here is the honest approach: locally sourced ingredients, cooked fresh and served without unnecessary fuss. It is welcoming, relaxed and wonderfully dependable. This is the kind of place where good food, friendly service and a proper pub atmosphere come together naturally, and that is its greatest charm.
