Review

“All life is one, and all is change.” Oscar Wilde.

Turn back pages of the history book: and step into a time gone by at the Kerry Bog Village. Amongst the rolling green hills and shimmering lakes of the dreamlike Ring of Kerry: the Kerry Bog Village is situated at the mighty feet of the Mcgillycuddy Reeks; Ireland's highest mountain range. Here at this exceptional open-air museum, the focus is very much on the history and culture of Ireland in the 19th Century: beautifully recreating the traditional thatched cottages, which are fully furnished with authentic antiques. Also on display is a wonderful collection of rural farm equipment, and for animal lovers the opportunity to meet the once almost extinct ‘Kerry Bog Pony’ and the world’s tallest dogs the ‘Irish Wolfhound.!’ After all that culture, pop into the Red Fox Inn Bar and Restaurant, which is adjacent to the Bog Village, and enjoy a drink.
