The Lighthorseman is a beautifully restored Victorian pub and B&B, including many of its original features, ideally situated for the many attractions of York.
Bed and Breakfast accommodation is available in one of eight comfortable rooms, where we're sure your stay will be highly enjoyable.
The pub has excellent facilities, including a heated beer garden for smoking, sky TV, and a small function room. As well as the superb breakfasts, Our meat is sourced from R and J butchers which only use locally based farms.
The Lighthorseman is a wonderful pub with a wealth of original Victorian features and a grade 2 listing, including the only original Victorian bar remaining in the city. Mostly Italian dishes but a few english too.

Landlord Dan and Rachael do their utmost to make sure their guests have a fantastic stay, and will be happy to answer any questions you might have about the city of York and its many attractions.
Just a short 10 minute walk into the city centre, which can be taken along the scenic river bank, we are also a 20 minute walk to York Races which is across the Millenium Bridge.
Families are welcome, and small groups can be accommodated in our selection of Double and Twin rooms. Excellent car parking facilities allow us to give all our guests their own parking space. Coaches can also be accommodated with advance notice.
