You will find this quintessential English pub with accommodation set beautifully in the very quaint, historic town of Bilbrough. The owner and manager of this fine establishment is Maureen, and it is clear that she has not only invested here financially, but with her heart as well. She has created a very sophisticated feel while staying traditional throughout, from the furnishings through to the utterly delicious menu. This pub has several well-deserved awards to its name, and a 5 star for Hygiene from Selby Council. There are roaring fires in winter, and a spacious outdoor area with more than enough room for children and dogs to play in the summertime. The pub is motorhome friendly and offers super accommodation upstairs for 2 to 12 people. Very convenient, being close to the centre of York, for a block booking for family or business purposes. The menu is sublime, sophisticated and down to earth all at the same time – highly recommended!
