Jimmy’s Farm & Wildlife Park is one of Suffolk’s most rewarding family attractions, and its national recognition is richly deserved. Owned and run by TV Personalities Jimmy Doherty and his wife Michaela, it has been crowned England’s best tourism attraction after being judged alongside around 1,800 destinations. During my visit, the polar bears were an unforgettable highlight, roaming through their huge three-lake enclosure, while the lions relaxed beneath the June sunshine. Throughout the park, every animal appeared content, healthy and really well cared for. The Barn Restaurant and Coffee House also deserves high praise, serving dishes created from farm produce and local suppliers. Open 363 days a year, it provides a delicious addition to any visit. Finally, couples can marry in the purpose-built wedding venue onsite. With welcoming staff, excellent value and so much to experience, Jimmy’s Farm is among the finest wildlife attractions I have encountered during my travel-writing career.
