Glenroyal Hotel
Review
The Glenroyal Hotel in Maynooth offers accommodation that perfectly balances comfort, value and convenience. Locally owned and run, this is a hotel that understands exactly what guests need, whether travelling for business, leisure or a short break. The bedrooms are finished to a very high standard, with a wide variety of room types ensuring there is something to suit all kinds of stays. Add in complimentary parking, EV charging and an impressive hi-tech leisure centre with swimming pool, and you have far more than just a place to rest your head. What also makes the Glenroyal stand out is its location. With Maynooth train station only moments away, Dublin City is easily reached, while Kildare’s top attractions are also right on your doorstep. Highly recommended!
The Arkel Bar & Enclosure Restaurant
Dining at the Glenroyal Hotel in Maynooth is a real pleasure, with a choice of food offerings that gives guests something for every mood and moment. I was particularly impressed by the Shoda Market Café, a beautifully presented space with stylish furnishings and décor, where the seasonal menu really hits the spot. It feels fresh, modern and wonderfully inviting. For something a little more laid-back, the hotel’s bar serves light bites from late afternoon onwards, making it ideal for a relaxed catch-up or easy evening bite. Then there is the award-winning Enclosure Restaurant, which delivers something that little bit more special. Its menu is clever, confident and full of flavour, yet never slips into pretension. Altogether, the Glenroyal’s dining scene is varied, polished and thoroughly enjoyable.
