At Daly’s of Donore, accommodation pairs character with comfort in all the right ways. Tony and his superb team, who’ve been welcoming guests for over two decades now, deliver a genuinely friendly, cosy stay that feels effortless. The recent refurbishment has lifted every space, fresh, stylish and sparkling, yet the pub’s beloved Irish charm remains intact. Bedrooms come in thoughtful varieties and are well furnished with plush beds, practical touches and that coveted home-from-home warmth. You can also be guaranteed an excellent meal in Daly’s bar and restaurant. Location-wise, Donore makes an excellent base: the Boyne Valley’s history and scenery are on your doorstep, while Dublin sits conveniently within reach for day trips. For value, hospitality, and heart, Daly’s of Donore is an easy recommendation.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT
Daly’s of Donore really does serve food with heart and heritage. For over two decades, Tony and his experienced team headed up by Larry, have championed locally sourced produce, turning seasonal ingredients into plates that are fresh, generous and full of County Meath character. The recent refurbishment has elevated the experience: a contemporary, light-filled bar and restaurant that still keeps the easy Irish warmth regulars love. Larry having worked in many top venues in New York City, manages to easily balance Irish pub favourites with thoughtful and modern updates. Crisp fish, slow-cooked meats, bright salads and comforting classics, each dish cooked with care and presented with confidence. Service is friendly, attentive and paced just right, a reflection of Tony’s long experience in hospitality. Whether you’re dropping in for lunch or settling in for dinner, Daly’s delivers honest flavour, great value and a genuinely welcoming table.
