1988 Bar & Kitchen at Hemsworth Water Park
Review
At Hemsworth Water Park, the sunshine seems to act like a starting gun, drawing families, friends and day trippers towards its lakes, beaches and lively atmosphere. Sitting proudly within this much loved destination, the 1988 Bar & Kitchen more than holds its own. In fact, it is one of the main reasons a visit here feels so complete. I never upgrade a food venue to hidden gem status without good reason, yet this privately owned business earned that honour with ease. Dale and his team have created a place that feels polished, welcoming and full of character from the moment you arrive. Before I had even stepped inside, the buzz around the water park hinted that this was somewhere special, and once through the door, the popularity of the venue spoke volumes. Busy tables, happy diners and a warm atmosphere all confirmed it. 1988 Bar & Kitchen is a worthy hidden gem indeed.
