If you find yourself in Nun Monkton, Yorkshire, then do yourself a favour and visit the Yorkshire Heart Vineyard & Brewery. This expansive vineyard, set in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside, is run by a truly passionate team. They grow a range of varieties including Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Gamay and Cabernet Franco, among others, and produce a full range of wines, including Sparkling. There is also a micro-brewery on site producing a range of real ales and ciders using local Yorkshire spring water. They offer tours and tastings, meetings, parties and weddings – all of which can be booked through their website, where you can shop online as well. It is a fabulous venue to visit for afternoon tea or a light lunch at their visitor centre, The Winehouse, or to have a tasting and a nibble. The vineyard supports several charities in the area, really living up to the ‘heart’ in its name.
