This pub has achieved rave reviews from locals and visitors alike for its homely atmosphere, superb real ales and excellent menus. The ambience is great and the décor is traditional with a clean, new-vintage vibe. The pub is family-run and as such the wine list has been carefully chosen, as has the food, with the idea that they would not serve anything that they don’t thoroughly enjoy and recommend themselves. This ethos shows in their service and the produce that is procured locally for their seasonally changing, rustic and generous menu. Available for lunch, dinner, drinks, coffee (and handsomely tall cakes!) this is a guaranteed treat whether snuggled inside on cooler days or enjoying the sunshine on the village green with the kids. A worthwhile visit when passing through the richly historical, conservation village of Coneythorpe.
