The Wye Valley Hotel is a family-run country inn in the riverside village of Tintern, at the heart of the Wye Valley, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Upstairs are eight comfortable en-suite rooms (including a family suite) while downstairs you’ll find a cosy public bar with open fires and a large dining room (complete with its own bar and dance-floor). As well as a fine range of beers, wines and spirits, we offer meals that are freshly prepared and full of flavour, often featuring local produce and ingredients. We are CAMRA accredited and proud to have received consecutive TripAdvisor Awards for Excellence, as well as 5 star hygiene ratings.There is free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel and ample parking outside. Children, walkers, cyclists and dogs are all welcome.

As a family-run business we pride ourselves on being able to give individual attention to our guests so that their stay is as relaxing and enjoyable as it can possibly be. Call or email directly to book or be given information on the latest and best rates and offers.Collect your key, make a cuppa and settle down with one of Sue’s scrumptious home-made biscuits. Rooms are accessed by a short flight of stairs, are en-suite (4 with baths and showers, 3 with walk-in showers) and equipped with Wi-Fi, colour TV, hairdryer, telephone, toiletries, tea/coffee making facilities.

We always do our best to accommodate everyone’s needs, so please let us know if you have any allergies or dietary requests. Laundry service, iron and ironing-board, travel cots or extra beds are available on request. If anything appears to be missing or wrong – say and we will remedy it.

All room rates are inclusive of a hearty English breakfast with free-range eggs, local sausages, quality best-back bacon, grilled tomatoes and mushrooms; or keep it simple and wholesome with kippers, eggs-any-which-way, yogurts, cereal and fruit. We also offer vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free alternatives. All breakfasts are served with coffee, juices and a range of teas.

There is ample car parking at the front and rear of the hotel – do let us know if you need assistance with your luggage. We are sorry, but we do not have wheelchair access to the rooms.

For our more active guests we can provide secure storage for bicycles and, for those walking the Offa’s Dyke path, baggage transfers to your next destination. Packed lunches or picnics can also be ordered.

Dogs are welcome by prior arrangement only – please book directly by phone or email to make sure that you get one of our two pet-friendly guest rooms. Dogs are allowed everywhere except the dining-room, but you are welcome to take your breakfast in the bar if you do not want to leave your dog.

We are happy to advise you on where to walk, visit and eat to really enjoy your stay in the Wye Valley. You are also welcome to borrow our guidebooks, brochures and historical pamphlets. Lost for something to read? Help yourself to our book-crossing shelves.
