The Rose & Crown
Review
The Rose and Crown is a very traditional English pub situated in Thurstonland, West Yorkshire. It offers all the Yorkshire hospitality associated with the area in a pristine pub and restaurant, with accommodation available as well. The pub serves real ales as well as ciders, wines and soft drinks in a warm indoor or outdoor setting for the summer. The menu is extensive for a pub menu – beginning with the obligatory but exceptionally well done Fresh Fish Friday featuring hand cut chips and mushy peas and many fish specials, all the way to slow cooked pulled pork, Whitby scampi and some rather sexy burgers. The food is fresh, good, beautifully presented and offers several healthy options; great variety. Rooms are available here through their website and are recommended for their clean, crisp appearance, mod-cons and of course their convenient placing in this lovely little country town – only a five minute drive to Holmfirth town centre.

This review could really be summed up in one word. ‘YUM’! Also, it is more fit for a poem than a paragraph - but we can try.
