Sid’s Cafe
Review
Sid’s Café in Holmfirth, of Summer Wine fame, is a dear little old-fashioned tearoom not only well known for its TV stardom, but is also surrounded by a thousand years of history, which was when the very first people settled in what is now called Holmfirth. This traditional tearoom feeds the soul with its cream teas and hearty meals. The Café receives its patrons in a homely room full of Last of the Summer Wine memorabilia and souvenirs. There is an area in the back with picnic tables and a large table for a good-weather gathering. Sid’s staff promise to read the menu out loud if the print is too small, make room for a wheelchair, or even give your dog a bowl of water when you are sitting outside – in the spirit of ye olde England. A must visit
