The Lark Concert Hall
Review
The Lark Dublin is a thrilling addition to Ireland’s cultural map: an innovative, state-of-the-art venue in Balbriggan that comfortably holds 400. Named for Reverend Benson, whose neighbouring house is now the Bedford GuestHouse and his affection for Ireland’s birds, it pairs a poetic title with serious production muscle. As home to the Irish Institute of Music & Song, the programming is adventurous and deftly curated: sharp-witted comedians, polished theatre, and regular concerts that turn even weeknights into occasions. the design is excellent, acoustics truly sharp, and the front-of-house team run the ship with warm efficiency. Backstage facilities and technical specs would flatter a much larger house, yet the room retains an intimate, communal hum. Separate on-site accommodation makes touring companies, choirs, and visiting groups feel truly catered for. The Lark is one of Ireland’s brightest hidden gems: ambitious, welcoming, and wonderfully alive. Put it on your list, it’s a must
