Bedford House & Hall
Review
Bedford House Boutique Accommodation is a class act from the moment you step through the door. With a deep love of Georgian architecture, owner Maria Escriva and her husband, Michael Dawson Snr, have restored this handsome property to the highest standards, blending period grace with no expense spared modern comfort. Balbriggan is only a 20-minute drive from Dublin Airport itself, making it a brilliant base for exploring the region without being hammered by high-priced hotel chains. Bedrooms and suites are beautifully finished, quiet, and thoughtfully equipped, while the team’s friendly, can-do attitude makes everything effortless. And then there’s the award-winning La-La café and restaurant: bright, buzzy, and proudly local. My seafood chowder there was one of the best I’ve ever tasted, creamy, generous, and deeply comforting. Whether you’re flying in, road-tripping the coast, or stealing a quick city break, Bedford House delivers boutique style, excellent value, and warm Irish hospitality.
