The Grey Horse Elvington
Review
What a super pub! The Grey Horse is a 17th Century Inn nestled in the delightful village of Elvington, near York. It offers a neat, well-decorated, traditional pub with a wide range of drinks on tap. The food is superb. There is a tremendous variety of meals to choose from and they offer a couple of menus, including their well-known Sunday menu. Apart from the usual pub fare (though definitely a cut above) there appears such interesting dishes as a rather special curry, a tagine and a host of delicious desserts to choose from. There is plenty on offer for vegetarians here, too. The dining space is very child- friendly. Also, there are two very neat en-suite bedrooms above the pub – providing a perfectly placed stayover option with the city of York just eight miles away. There are many great attractions nearby, including the famous Air Museum.
