Just outside the historic city of York, Beetle Bank Open Farm is the sort of family attraction that reminds you just how special simple pleasures can be. This family run children’s paradise has managed to hold on to its innocent charm, and that is part of what makes a visit here feel so wholesome. Opened by Angela Serina, this is a place where genuine care shines through, with Angela and her team going above and beyond to make every guest feel truly welcome. What I particularly admire is the fact that this remains a working farm, giving children the chance to learn as they explore, which only adds to the experience. From February onwards, motorhome visitors are welcome too, making it an even more appealing place to stay awhile. Add in a lovely farm café and a friendly atmosphere, and Beetle Bank Open Farm is very easy to recommend indeed.
