The Fox Inn

Your hosts at this friendly and traditional pub restaurant are Lisa and Aaron. The Fox Inn is situated close to the city of York, in the nearby village of Stockton-on-the-Forest. It is an old, traditional building with cosy wood fires inside and a super village pub atmosphere. The restaurant menu has something on it for all palates, and alongside good old-fashioned ‘pub-grub’ you will find quite a few vegetarian options, too. The pub is open every day serving food, wines and guest ales. Sunday dinners are a highlight here and they often host dart tournaments, quiz nights and dominoes. During summer, there is local live music (and barbeques) to add to the warm, friendly vibe of the establishment. It is now possible to stay in one of their three lovely en-suite rooms (beautifully finished) – which is very handy as they are on the bus route to York and the East Yorkshire Coast. A well-priced stay.
