The Berwyn Arms
Review
“ Ay, here is the narrow home, to which our tired hearts are come”. Ernest Rhys.
The statuesque 17th Century property Berwyn Arms in Corwen, stands picture-postcard attractive on the A5 in the historical village of Glyndyfrdwy, where a small mound is left of what once stood a 12th Century Norman Castle Motte. This charming inn has been welcoming visitors since 1820 and offers a large variety of local craft ale and fine wine and a wonderfully original menu, which changes with the seasons in order to provide the freshest ingredients from local sources. The fresh homemade share-and-tear garlic bread a definite crowd pleaser, as is the salt-and-pepper chicken wings and wonderfully spicy tomato polenta.
