Llangollen Motor Museum
We try to be interesting and informative but most of all to demonstrate the charm and character of our motoring past. The museum is not just two rows of old cars quietly rusting away. Most of our vehicles are on the road. The collection includes a model”T”Ford, a 30/98 Vauxhall, several Austins and Citroens. Among the motor bikes are most of the names that bring back memories of “British Bikes”. The Norton, the Triumph, the Ariel, the Sunbeam and the B.S.A.. An experience not to be missed.
More than 60 vehicles from cars to invalid carriages and pedal cars, a 50’s village garage scene complete with owners quarters, the cars that grandad used to drive. our experience when visiting this lovely museum will be interesting and informative but most of all it demonstrates the charm and character of our motoring past and in itself, it is a charming place, oozing with character. The museum is a much loved family run bussiness, We are very welcoming and love to here your stories of your memories.
School parties are most welcome. The owners are always ready to answer questions and explain how motoring has changed.
For car clubs we have a private field available for picnics or overnight camping.
Review
“Everything in life is somewhere else, and you get there in a car”… E.B.White. Situated on the River Dee, Denbighshire The Llangollen Motor Museum has a fascinating collection of motoring memorabilia which includes more than sixty cars and motorcycles, and you know instantly upon entering, that the lovely owner and his family are incredibly dedicated and passionate about this wonderful little jewel of a museum right at the heart of Llangollen itself. The staff are very welcoming and extremely knowledgeable, indeed the ambiance here is from another time, when the world was less busy. Most of the vehicles are still roadworthy including a model ‘ T ‘ Ford and many other veteran vintage cars and a motorbike collection which includes examples of British bikes, Triumph, Norton, Ariel, Sunbeam, BSA, making this charming museum a drive down memory lane for all petrol lovers!
