Sherwood’s Bar & Restaurant
Review
Just a couple of miles from Kerry Airport, Sherwood’s Bar & Restaurant is Farranfore’s quiet ace for pre or post flight dining. Run by experienced husband and wife team Richard & Olive Sherwood, service is swift, friendly, and impressively organised. The compact menu reads with confidence: well sourced beef, tasty fish & chips, traditional seafood chowder and seasonal salads that actually taste of place. Provenance matters here; suppliers are name checked and the kitchen treats ingredients with respect. Portions are generous without grandstanding, plating is tidy, and pricing feels fair for the quality. The bar keeps things local too, with craft pours and a considered wine list that works with food. A sizeable car park and superfast EV charger suit travellers heading for attractions or flights.
