Just a short drive from the M7, Red Sheds Villa in Portarlington is a genuine local standout for families, friends or small groups. Host Fiona Flanagan may be fairly new to hospitality, but you’d never guess it; the whole place feels confident, considered and beautifully modern. The smart home sleeps up to eight across four stylish, en-suite bedrooms, so everyone gets comfort and privacy in equal measure. The setting is wonderfully peaceful, giving you that “switch off” feeling the moment you arrive, yet with all the sleek touches you’d expect from a high-end stay. Best of all is Smokey Joe’s, the villa’s own private bar that could easily pass as a standalone pub—except it’s exclusively yours. No expense has been spared; luxury really does come as standard. For couples, The Herons Den eco-cabin is a perfect, intimate escape.
