Review

The Hare’s Corner Restaurant is the sort of place you stumble upon once, then plan your next day around. Sitting right beside the Mountmellick Embroidery & Heritage Museum, this gem is housed in a beautifully restored, historic corn mill that oozes character the moment you step inside. It’s become a real heartbeat of the community too, always a reassuring sign in my book, because I only recommend where the locals have recommended to me. From a hearty, freshly cooked breakfast to a leisurely lunch, and comforting evening dinners, the menu champions honest flavours and locally sourced ingredients. The team are genuinely friendly, the atmosphere is relaxed, and the pricing is refreshingly fair. You’ll leave satisfied, smiling, and thinking: that was brilliant value for money. Highly recommended.
