Review

Lullymore Heritage and Discovery Park is one of those rare attractions that manages to be educational, relaxing and wonderfully entertaining all at once. Set sympathetically within the famous Bog of Allen, this 60-acre haven of woodland and peatland offers a day out with real depth and character. What I admired most was how each layer of the experience reveals something different, from the natural beauty of the landscape to the thoughtfully presented attractions throughout the park. Families are especially well catered for, with the Funky Forest indoor play area, Lullymore Pet Farm, 18-hole mini golf course and beautifully themed gardens all adding to the appeal. It is no surprise to me that this attraction has earned three of our four Hidden Gem attraction awards. The team are welcoming, the admission price is exceptionally fair, and at just over an hour from Dublin, this is the Midlands at its finest indeed.
