Review

Just a short drive from both towns Dundalk and Monaghan, Mourne Shooting Grounds is a standout destination for anyone keen to try their hand at shooting sports in a safe, welcoming friendly environment. Family owned and family run, it attracts visitors from across the wider region, thanks to its relaxed atmosphere and genuinely passionate team. The state-of-the-art shooting layouts are superb, whether you’re breaking clays for the first time or fine-tuning your aim. Inside, the on-site shop is a treasure trove for serious enthusiasts, with an impressive range of firearms, accessories and ammunition. Guests, experienced or not, can choose from clay pigeon shooting, air rifle or pistol, and I’d highly recommend trying all three if you can. For something with extra flair, the ‘Wild West Package’ lets you channel your inner gunslinger and experience a playful taste of America’s frontier spirit. It’s a thrilling, memorable stop you won’t forget soon.
