I take great pride in choosing the accommodation that earns my endorsement, and Hannon’s Hotel is certainly worthy of its place. Family-run and conveniently located on the outskirts of Roscommon town, it provides an excellent base for exploring Co. Roscommon and the neighbouring counties. There is a reassuringly traditional feel to Hannon’s, built on a long-standing local reputation for offering dependable hospitality, good value and a genuinely warm welcome. The bedrooms are modern, comfortable and well equipped, providing everything needed for a relaxing night’s stay after a busy day exploring the area. Another major attraction is value for money; staying here certainly won’t break the bank. Add friendly service and a spacious car park, and Hannon’s remains a practical, welcoming and thoroughly dependable choice for visitors.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT
There is something reassuringly dependable about the food offering here at Hannon’s Hotel, located just on the outskirts of Roscommon town centre. Long regarded by locals as a reliable place to eat, Hannon’s has built its reputation around generous portions, familiar favourites and good, honest cooking. That same straightforward ethos remains very much at the heart of the hotel today. The menu offers plenty of choice, with dishes designed to satisfy rather than overcomplicate things, while the welcoming service helps create the relaxed atmosphere for which the hotel is known. What I particularly like about Hannon’s is that you certainly don’t need to be staying overnight to enjoy it. If you are travelling through Roscommon, the food here is well worth adding to your itinerary.
