Emerald Park
Review
Emerald Park in Co. Meath is a triumphant Irish success story and a fitting legacy to the late Ray Coyle. One of Ireland’s most generous entrepreneurs, Ray built a theme park and zoo just when the country needed joy. Rebranded from Tayto Park in 2023, the park has only accelerated, expanding, refining and confidently joining the ranks of the UK and Ireland’s top attractions. Charles Coyle, Ray’s sons vision is everywhere: thoughtful landscaping, smooth operations and attractions that really do balance white-knuckle thrills with family fun. On my summer 2025 visit I found a park loved by its people; staff were friendly, super-efficient,and genuinely delighted to help. Queues moved quickly, facilities were spotless and the animals were clearly well cared for. With more headline rides on the way, including a major addition slated for 2026, Emerald Park feels future-ready. Put it on your itinerary; it’s unmissable when touring Ireland today.
