The Bloody Stream
Review
In the pretty maritime village of Howth, The Bloody Stream is the sort of pub that leaves a lasting impression from the moment you walk through the door. Owned and run by Michael Wright, a man with a proven pedigree in hospitality, this is a place where high standards are clearly non-negotiable. Sitting above the stream from which it takes its name, and with local legend telling of waters once turned red during battle on the hill above, there is a rich sense of story here that adds greatly to its appeal. Yet it is not just history that draws people in. The food offering is excellent, with real care and consistency shown in every dish that leaves the kitchen. Add in a friendly, attentive team who go the extra mile for every guest, and you have a pub experience in Howth that is both memorable, welcoming, authentic and genuinely special, from start to finish indeed.
