Cawdor Castle & Gardens
Review
Cawdor Castle is an imposing late fourteenth-century edifice; a place of legends and tales, with vaulted ceilings and a drawbridge that stirs the historian in each of us. The Castle caters to a variety of leisure activities, from meanderings through the gardens, shopping, having tea in the courtyard café or salmon-fishing on the Findhorn, to walking in the woods, playing golf on the nine-hole course, or putting on the green. Here you can satisfy your curiosity about the connection between Shakespeare, Macbeth and Cawdor Castle, indulge your sense of history surrounding the Thanes of Scotland and take a step into the atmosphere of ages past. You can stay at Banchor Cottage on the River Findhorn if you want to indulge yourself in country pursuits such as walking, fishing, drives, or soaking up the countryside for longer than only one day. A breath-taking and awe-inspiring experience…
