Based just a hop, skip and a jump away from Loch Earn is the Auchingarrich Wildlife Centre and this has to be some of the best scenery you’ll ever see in Scotland, right on the doorstep of this charming attraction. With in and around 40 species of animal, Auchingarrich is more than worth the drive from wherever you might be staying in the region and if your really lucky, your visit might coincide with the times that they are feeding and doing one of their really popular talks. I felt the admission fee was more than justified, as you can literally stay as long or as little as you like. I also found the staff to be super friendly, eager to help and their wonderful cafe serves some really good locally sourced food, you don’t have to just take my word for it, see their reviews to back up that statement.
