Ye Olde Rock Inn
Review
Ye Olde Rock Inn, hidden away in Upper Hulme near Leek, is a true gem of Staffordshire. This historic pub has been a cornerstone of the local community for over two centuries. The Burrows family, with John and Hilary at the helm since 1985 and also being the pub's longest serving custodians, have passed the baton to their son Edward and his partner Amie, who now proudly carry on the tradition. Edward’s pride in becoming the new landlord’s is palpable and well-deserved. The pub offers delicious, well-priced food with a strong emphasis on quality and provenance. The atmosphere is wonderfully warm and welcoming, embodying the charm of a quaint village reminiscent of the BBC radio show "The Archers." Whether you're a local or a visitor, Ye Olde Rock Inn provides an unforgettable experience that blends history, community, and exceptional hospitality. It’s a place where you’ll truly feel right at home.
