Wickton Court Bed & Breakfast
Wickton Court is an ancient and rambling country house deep inside the very rural county of Herefordshire, down a single track lane, a mile or so outside the village of Stoke Prior and the hamlets of Humber and Risbury, but still within easy reach of the second biggest town in the county - Leominster, an antique and vintage hunters paradise!
Some of the house dates back to the 15th century, with a hugely atmospheric and historic panelled room available for our guests to use, with its massive inglenook fireplace. The term shabby chic happens naturally and some may like to describe the place as endearingly ramshackle! 0ur two guest bedrooms are in a private wing in the oldest part, but happily, have all the modern-day conveniences!
Stay in our 4 Poster room with its connecting bathroom - as big as most bedrooms… or in our Wind in the Willows room with twin antique French beds overlooking the duck pond and gardens. This has an adjacent big bathroom with a separate spacious and powerful shower.
Breakfast is literally - a moveable feast. If you need to be up and out early that will be catered for, or midstay, you fancy a lie-in with breakfast in your room, this too can be arranged - why go away for a few days break and have to watch the clock! Rules and schedules are not the order of the day here and if you want to switch off from a punishing routine, there can be few better places to stay.
This is a truly unique, relaxed, friendly and happy place to stay, with dogs, cats, hens, ducks pottering about - we even have fairies in the orchards beyond the tennis court at the bottom of the garden! Come and stay and discover the many secrets of Wickton!
