Twin Trees Hotel & Leisure Club
Review
Framed by Brusna Falls and the gentle Moy River, Twin Trees Hotel & Leisure Club is an inviting base a short stroll from Ballina’s lively centre. Rooms are comfortable and quiet, while landscaped gardens and terrace tables make alfresco breakfasts and sundowners a daily pleasure. There’s free parking and ample breathing space to simply slow down. By day, strike out along the Wild Atlantic Way to witness Mayo’s raw, untamed coastline; cast a line on its storied lakes and rivers; or dip into nearby sandy beaches. Back at base, the Leisure Club delivers proper unwinding: a 16-metre pool, kid’s pool, Jacuzzi, steam room, sauna and well-equipped gym. For value, location and restorative comforts, Twin Trees hits that sweet, easygoing West of Ireland note for travellers.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT
The Twin Trees Hotel’s dining options deliver genuine range and quality. Here at Frogs Bar, the mood is easygoing: think juicy, flame-kissed burgers, crisp fries, and generous plates that suit a relaxed catch-up or family pit stop. Service is friendly, pace unhurried, and the value spot-on. When the evening calls for polish, step into the Brusna Restaurant, where grounded Irish flavour and the chefs’ commitment to provenance shines, seasonal produce, well-sourced fish and meats, and sauces that are actually homemade. Plates are thoughtfully composed, portions balanced, and the pacing confident. From first bite to last sip, it’s a kitchen intent on creating culinary memories rather than gimmicks. Two rooms, two moods, one consistent standard: care, flavour, and even if you’re not staying here, everyone’s welcome.
