Review
Having passed the Yeats County Inn many times over the years, I was delighted to finally call in and take a look around this welcoming family-run hotel. Although I was not staying overnight, the tour gave me a clear sense of the care and attention that goes into the accommodation here. The bedrooms are comfortable, well presented and designed with a good night’s sleep firmly in mind, while prices remain refreshingly reasonable. Just as importantly, there is a genuine warmth to the service, with customer care clearly at the heart of everything they do. After seeing the hotel for myself, I am very pleased to include the Yeats County Inn among my recommended places to sleep in the County Sligo chapter of this new book.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT
Located just off the N17 between Knock and Sligo, the Yeats County Inn makes an excellent stop for anyone looking for good food without unnecessary fuss. Being family owned, there is a genuine warmth to the welcome, and that same care carries through to the food coming from the kitchen. The menu offers plenty of choice, with generous portions, tasty dishes and prices that remain refreshingly reasonable. What I particularly like here is the relaxed, cosy atmosphere, making it suitable for a quick lunch as it is for a leisurely evening meal. Service is friendly and attentive, and there is a real sense that guests are valued. If you are travelling through this part of Ireland, the Yeats County Inn is well worth stopping for.
