The Wheatsheaf Inn
Hidden in the heart of the Wirral countryside is where you’ll find us, a 17th century thatched Inn ‘The Wheatsheaf Inn & Cowshed Restaurant’ or the Thatch as we are known locally. The Cowshed restaurant gets it name from a long history of dairy farming. Converted from an old cattle barn it has all the character of a building over 250 years’ old, high ceilings, original oak beams and soft lighting. Our award winning head chef Emma Wombwell and her team have produced menus consisting of classic British dishes adding her own twist. Using seasonal produce of the highest quality, sourced locally wherever possible. The Wirral is blessed with an exceptional array of producers and Emma works closely with them to ensure the best available ingredients are used in her freshly prepared food.
