The Secret Owl Garden
If you would like to really get up close and spend some quality time with our owls you can arrange a place on one of our flying experiences. We offer both group taster sessions and private experiences, keep reading for more details on how to join in the fun! Our private owl experiences of flying fun where you will get to fly three different species of owl through the beautiful woodland gardens. The experience is completely private so you can spend maximum time enjoying your time with the owls and means we can completely tailor the experiences to individual requirements. Just let us know when you book if there is any additional support you need while you’re with us. You will fly a small, medium and a large owl so that you can get to feel the difference in weight, see their different styles of flight and hear the different noises that they make. Even our really big owls are super friendly so that they can be flown by the smallest of people. During your experience there will be plenty of photo opportunities as you call the owls down to your gloved hand as many times as you like. This popular experience is well suited for anyone with a love of owls. Flying owls at a very young age is a great way to give children a love of birds of prey for the rest of their lives; you’ll be surprised as to how much they remember about their favourite bird!
Review
Celtic Holiday Park has always been a favourite of mine, now that The Secret Owl Garden is there, it has just got all the more special to me. Ran by Emma & Alex Hill, these two are no stranger to me as we have also featured their other success story, The British Bird of Prey Centre based at the National Botanic Gardens In Carmarthenshire. This couples sheer devotion to all things two winged is clear to see as I walked around each aviary and the Owls themselves look so happy, I don’t think they’d want to be anywhere else! On the day I arrived, there was a special Harry Potter event on and being a big Harry Potter fan myself, I loved to see all of the staff dressed up. All the staff have smiles on their faces, they are polite and go out of their way to answer any question thrown at them and the joint entrance fee isn’t that expensive, so has to be on your itinerary when visiting Pembrokeshire!
