The Old Cross Inn & Restaurant
Review
The Old Cross Inn and its 4 well appointed bedrooms, Cargill, Ericht, Blarie and Kirk really did take me by surprise, I mean, I knew these rooms were going to be nice, but just how nice I was only to find out when I was kindly shown round by its owners Ian. Kelly and Ian have spared no expense in making sure that your stay is a comfortable one and all four of their rooms are not only en-suite, but all feature a rather unique mirror heater as the rooms source of heating, which is totally unique and i've never seen this feature before. The rooms are very reasonably priced and the reviews that I’ve read about the Old Cross Inn are really positive. I know for a fact you’ll have a good stay here, but don’t just take my word for it, book a room and see for yourself!
Having featured the Old Cross Inn in my accommodation section of this Perthshire chapter, I wanted to feature them as one of my handful of great places to eat and after all the hard work that Kelly and Ian have put into the pub, they deserve their place in this book without a doubt. With a great menu that features a wide selection of locally sourced food, The Old Cross Inn also has Gluten Free and Vegetarian options also. Being dog friendly is a huge plus nowadays and this pub also welcomes your well behaved four legged friends. The restaurant itself is open 6 days a week and everything on their menu is reasonably priced, locally sourced and with the pub being family run, every care and attention goes into every dish they prepare. So whether your eating in the restaurant, or their lounge bar, a warm welcome awaits you here at the Old Cross Inn.
