Built in 1758, this Grade 11 Listed chocolate box inn, welcomes its customers with a generous warmth and friendliness, offering not just luscious seasonal menus, but offers plenty of fun and enjoyment for all from live music, open mic nights and live sport in the back room with a large viewing screen upstairs, party night bingo and quiz nights, a spacious beer garden with delightful gazebos make a extremely attractive outdoor venue. Chef’s recommendations include tender shoulder of Lamb with dauphinoise potatoes, Pan fried Hake, Beef Madras with fluffy herby basmati (rice plus appetising vegetarian options including scrumptious beetroot and red onion tart. Winter warmers such as toffee apple and pear crumble with thick, creamy custard or ice cream and sticky toffee pudding proving extremely popular.
