The Irish National Heritage Park
Review
It is true to say, that I love each and every attraction that I have researched, chosen and then visited for this series of Top 100 Attractions books, for what has been well over a decade now. There are a few however, that have special memories for me and the Irish National Heritage Park is most certainly one of them. What I love so much about this Heritage park is that it’s not just an Irish story that they are telling, it’s a story about all of us and how we got here, survived here and ultimately have continued to live here. With a huge regeneration programme, a lot of money has been spent in making the visitor experience a better experience and they have spared no expense in achieving this goal. The team is ever so friendly and really go out of their way to enhance your visitor experience.

Mary Barrys Bar & Restaurant
Mary Barry’s Seafood Bar & Restaurant, on the outskirts of Kilmore Quay, is a pub and dining destination I was genuinely delighted to return to after first endorsing it nine years ago. Expectations were high, but what Susie Doyle and her husband Alec have achieved here is exceptional. In my opinion, Mary Barry’s is now the finest pub in Co. Wexford, and fully deserving of our rare Iconic Status.

Lobster Pot
The Lobster Pot Restaurant on the outskirts of Rosslare is one of those rare dining rooms that has become part of the fabric of this region. A true constant for many years, its reputation has been built not on fuss, but on superb food, genuine hospitality and a standard that never seems to slip. New owner Paul Behan clearly understands the responsibility of looking after such a celebrated name, and he does
