The Harbour Masters House B&B
Review
Harbour Masters House B&B in Shannon Harbour is one of those rare finds that keeps getting better. Now under new ownership, it’s the third time I’ve endorsed it in my Top 100 Attractions on the Island of Ireland book, and today’s visit for me, suggests a fourth and fifth are almost inevitable. Five wonderfully cosy rooms provide a calm, and affordably comfortable retreat, and new hosts Darren and Niamh may be fresh to hospitality, but they run the place with the quiet confidence of seasoned professionals. Shannon Harbour makes a superb base, just minutes from the M6 for easy day-trips in any direction. Breakfast is the real showstopper: thoughtfully prepared, beautifully presented, and packed with ingredients that are either made on site or sourced locally.
