The Fitzherbert Arms
The Fitzherbert Arms sits in the village of Swynnerton, set in the Staffordshire country side on Lord Stafford’s estate. This historic pub was lovingly restored back in 2016 after a period of closure. Built on the site of an old Smithy the pub pays homage to this with an old forge for a fire place and one or two anvils supporting dining tables. The ‘Fitz’, as it is known, has the biggest collection of Port by the bottle within a pub, in the UK. Local Staffordshire ales feature on the bar with local distillery gins. The menu on the one hand, reflects great pub classics, with seasonal dishes, all sourced locally, on the other. Since it re-opened the pub has won many accolades deservedly so. The Staffordshire Room within the pub can cater for private dinners. There is a snug where pet dogs are welcome, some good pub walks locally and a car club for enthusiasts to enjoy!
