The oldest established falconry school in Ireland offers you the chance to fly hawks around the spectacular grounds of Ashford Castle in a one-hour private Hawk Walk. Within minutes of arriving, you will have a hawk on your glove and be setting off to fly your hawk around the beautiful woodlands surrounding Ashford Castle. As you walk through the gardens, your hawk will closely follow you, flying from tree to tree before swooping down to land back on your gloved fist whenever you ask it to. Your falconry instructor will explain all about the individual hawk that you are flying, all of which have been raised & trained by the Falconry School themselves. You will never forget the moment when your hawk first swoops down from a tree and lands back on your gloved fist. Flying a hawk is an experience of a lifetime.

All of our Hawk Walks are private experiences. You will have a Falconry Instructor and a hawk or team of hawks all to yourselves and a small number of spectators are welcome to accompany you, free of charge.
