Surrounded by tranquility, this restaurant-with-rooms is a paradise for foodies. Located in the middle of the UK's only mountain forest, this 17th century renovated cottage has some spectacular panoramic views over Skiddaw. Take a nice re energising walk, snuggle up in your room, enjoy a wonderful candlelit meal in the dining area, and finish off by playing a board game, or having a digestive in one of the three cosy sitting areas with wood burning stoves. All rooms are individually designed in a contemporary style. The Michelin Star restaurant is one of the best in the country. With unique and creative food pairings, a great tasting menu, and good value for money, the food is honest and served to the highest of standards. The flavour pairings and the excellent wine list, are simply wonderful. Thanks to the owners, Kath and Liam, you can expect a warm and friendly atmosphere throughout your stay.
